Our Mission
High-quality advocacy is the cornerstone of any just legal system. Everyone deserves for their case to be presented with skill and conviction. It is only then that justice can emerge.
That is why we are dedicated to delivering an ethical model of advocacy, founded upon the principles of honesty, integrity and independence that sit at the heart of the English Bar.
Our instructors are passionate about passing on their decades of experience to the next generation of advocates – not just in the UK, but globally. Our aim is to strengthen the rule of law and the application of justice around the world. We specialise in offering training in countries where inherited jurisdictions are no longer fit for purpose, with a focus on mediation and arbitration as a path to dispute resolution.
We also believe that such training shouldn’t be the preserve of the select few. That’s why we offer bursary places for practitioners and students who meet our eligibility criteria.
Our Diversity Policy
Access to justice is for all. Therefore central to our global mission is the belief that advocacy must be informed by diverse voices and life experiences. It is this diversity that allows for an ethical advocacy free from prejudice.
That is why we actively recruit instructors and guest speakers from a range of professional, personal and geographic backgrounds, all united by a passion for AAI’s mission.
As a company we embrace the value that different perspectives bring to advocacy, and foster this openness in our workshops. It also means we are constantly reevaluating our own practices, to ensure that we are at the vanguard of advocacy training.
