The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, London.

Workshops, lectures, and formal dining events are held within the Inn’s Great Hall and training rooms, with additional visits across central London’s legal landmarks.

Participants come from a range of backgrounds. The programme is designed to reflect the realities of practice, with sessions adapted to different levels of experience.

A strong command of English is required.

Fees, Additional Expenses & Refunds

What is the programme fee?

The programme fee is £2,700.

Yes. A £500 deposit is payable upon acceptance to secure a place.

The deposit is non-refundable.

Participants are responsible for travel, accommodation, visa costs, insurance, meals outside scheduled programme events, and personal expenses.

Refunds beyond the deposit are considered only in limited circumstances and at AAI’s discretion. Full terms are provided upon acceptance.

Applications & Selection

Who can apply?

Law students, graduates, and early-career legal professionals from any jurisdiction may apply.

No. The programme is designed to accommodate mixed experience levels.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and assessed on academic background, motivation, and suitability for the programme.

Programme & Logistics

Where does the programme take place?

The programme is hosted in London at the Inns of Court, with sessions held at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and visits to other legal institutions.

The AdvocacyAI Summer Programme runs for five consecutive days.

Tuition, teaching sessions, course materials, faculty mentorship during the programme, and access to programme venues are included.

Travel, Accommodation & Visas

Is accommodation included?

No. Accommodation is not included in the programme fee.

Yes. General guidance on suitable areas and accommodation options in London is shared with accepted participants. London International Halls (University of London), located in Bloomsbury: £72.50 per night (individual bookings)

AAI provides supporting documentation, including an invitation letter, where required.

No. Visa outcomes are determined solely by the relevant immigration authorities.

Internship Opportunity

Is there a paid internship associated with the programme?

Yes, participants of the 2026 AAI Summer Programme are eligible to apply for the 12 week paid internship separately.

The internship opportunity is open exclusively to attendees of the AAI Summer Programme and is available only upon successful completion of the programme. Eligibility is limited to participants in the 2026 cohorts.

The internship is not guaranteed and is subject to a separate application and selection process.
